Bio
Now as a full member of the International Cinematographer Guild 669 and available for film work worldwide, Craig's very first published image happened when he was just 13 years old.
His career then officially started when he was hired into the press realm two years later at the age of 15, and he hasn’t looked back since. He’s always pursued the storytelling image and been published worldwide for the last 35+ years in the fields of editorial, advertising, industrial, corporate and travel interests.
Clients know him as a master of tricky logistics & low light locations including Film / Unit Stills, and with a natural ease in handling high pressure moments on set in his assignments and even underwater opportunities.
As a Member of The Explorers Club, he’s led photo tours through exciting destinations across the world and been part of the far-reaching expedition teams for cultural explorations with tour companies such as Bestway Travel and Adventure Canada.
He's had the pleasure to be part of countless salon jury teams, and as a keynote presenter to photography & trade events across Canada, the USA, United Kingdom, Mexico, Caribbean, India and far beyond. A long list of credentials include multiple Masters degrees internationally, Photographer of the Year Awards, and the Yousuf Karsh Lifetime Achievement Award.
Photographers know him as one of the original pioneers within the digital revolution, an influential force in developing camera, lighting and digital imaging techniques and with his Craig's Actions that are still used by individuals, studios and corporations all over. He’s been a beta team member to numerous software companies and consulted to many within the industry including Apple, Adobe, Nikon and the Dept of Defence.
An avid sailor, scuba diver and travel junkie, Craig is known for his easy going style, tech savvy with an in-depth comfortable knowledge, and with a flair for teaching to others, always open to sharing his experience & secrets to success with clients, professionals & enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Even when not behind the lens, he can still be found out "On Assignment", his 40' Bavaria sailboat, cruising the waters of the amazing Pacific Northwest he loves to call home.
